The upper-floor one bedroom is one of our luxury temporary apartments in Buenos Aires that has separate bedroom and living spaces. The ample-sized living room comes with a pull-out couch with full-sized mattress. In addition, there is a 100-year-old forged iron gate with a glass top that serves as a beautiful coffee table. Moreover, there is an antique carpenters bench from the province of Cordoba. This serves as a breakfast bar separating the full kitchen from the living room. Bookshelves and a 50’s vintage lamp provide ambiance to the living space. This standard for furnishings is atypical of Buenos Aires apartment rentals in Recoleta.
A solid oak English style dining table with four chairs completes the cozy living space.
Further, the separate bedroom has a closet with full-length mirror doors, plus a bed with a king-sized mattress. Louis XVI style bedside tables and a beautifully renovated marble-top chest of drawers also adorn the bedroom.
Separately, the stylish bathroom includes a large shower stall and an over-sized antique wheel mirror. There is also an art nouveau angel chandelier along with modern fixtures.
Furthermore, a spacious private terrace with gorgeous artisan tiles is accessible from the bedroom. The beautiful balcony furnishings include a wrought iron marble top table with chairs for four plus planters and climbing ivy. The imported German double paned glass sliding doors provide noise insulation and allow for plenty of natural light.
The apartment is one of two of our luxury temporary apartments in Buenos Aires located on the 4th floor. The large and relaxing common outdoor terrace is on the same level. Importantly, two doors and a corridor separate the unit from the sundeck to ensure privacy and simple access. Large windows overlook the inner courtyard and include a view of the outdoor terrace and pool.
Artworks by Argentine artists Pablo Zel, Dante, and Elena Clemente complete this one bedroom unit. It is one of our most beautiful Buenos Aires apartment rentals in Recoleta at the Poetry Building.
Each one of our BA apartments comes with an Apple TV. Therefore, all of our units have unlimited access to our vast TV shows and movie library with over 3,000 titles. Also, each of our guests are welcome to use our on-site concierge service. In such, we are happy to make restaurant reservations, book activities, and arrange airport transfers. We invite our guests to use the beautiful common spaces we have in the building as well. These include Ellie’s Garden. The rooftop area is one of Buenos Aires’ only organic vegetable gardens. Warm, inviting hotel–a gem!
The Poetry Building is a real gem. It’s an easy walk to the downtown sights and the Recoleta cemetery. It’s less of a hotel than your own private space. Also, the staff is warm and inviting. The rooms are spacious. I stayed in 4B–a great one bedroom with a balcony. They will ask to stock your fridge before you arrive. Further, if someone is not booked for your room the day you check out, you’re in luck. You will receive a note saying you can stay there until you need to leave. It’s a super relaxed atmosphere. There’s also a helpful guide to the area prepared by the staff. Moreover, the price can’t be beaten.
Poetry: 6 night stay in spacious 1 bedroom, fabulous location
Pros:
Location – beautiful neighborhood, great bakeries, markets, etc. close by. It’s a 5 – 10 walk to Recoleta cemetery. For instance, we didn’t use public transport, walked all over. We caught a couple of taxis in the evening.
Security: Very secure building and neighborhood.
Room: We stayed in Room 4B. We didn’t end up using our private balcony. The intimate pool area was nice to chill in the evenings. And even to enjoy your own breakfast. Very comfortable bed. A gift of wine on arrival. Also, large kitchen and lounge area, large bedroom.
Staff: Polite, Positive, Informative, Bilingual. Arranged airport transfers. Also booked Argentina Polo Day tour for us before arrival with no trouble.
Negatives: Hard to find anything meaningful to criticise.
Overall:
Easy, pain-free stay in a perfect area for two women, safe, clean and good value for money. Won’t let you down.
Home away from home….
Located in a safe neighborhood. Moreover, there’s a grocery store on the block behind and pastry shop within 50 feet. Also, there are lots of restaurant choices in the area. Recoleta Cemetery with green space. Also, Recoleta Shopping Mall is four blocks away. One bedroom apt 4B with patio was large, brightly decorated. Faced Junin Street, had a full kitchen, very comfortable queen bed. In addition, there is a separate pull out sofa in living room if needed. Further, the patio was lovely for a glass of wine or morning coffee. Walking distance to Puerto Madero waterfront, Palermo Soho, Florida Street, Teatro Colon, Recoleta bistros. The apartment was brightly decorated, clean, quiet, safe. Good hotel alternative if you like solitude and privacy. Staff spoke English. Even more, you can exchange USD at the concierge desk at a reasonable rate.
